Batch and I have heard all the theories, watched the scene a hundred times, and gathered all the hints and clues. Now it’s time to figure out exactly what went down with Glenn in that pivotal scene in last week’s episode of The Walking Dead. We throw our opinions at each other over a couple beers and try to come to some sort of conclusion. Dead? Under the garbage bin? In the sewer? Jesus? Science? Come tackle any and all scenarios before they drag it out next week and we end up leaving even angrier than before.

The Walking Dead (#131)
Now as some of you already know I am beyond done with The Walking Dead television show, and at this point I’m done with the comics. At least in a month by month fashion. After the All Out War story line which gave us a years worth of issues in just 7 months it’s been hard to read the series on it’s normal schedule and stay entertained. I started off reading the series in it’s Trade format (after starting with The Compendium) and is, in my opinion, a much better way to do so. In case you are thinking about starting the series this is how I would recommend reading it.
So issue #131 was released a couple of weeks ago and really wasn’t great. We’re getting to see the results of winning the war but not enough of it, and the story line that is developing (Negan getting in the heads of new arrivals) just doesn’t seem all that new and exciting. I hope it’s just that I’ve been spoiled by being able to binge on the series for so long and not that the writing is turning to shit. Unfortunately I fear it’s the later. Well I’ll be back in 6 months when this arc’s trade is published.
Gone Girl Soundtrack
This Friday the new David Fincher starring Ben Affleck movie Gone Girl hits theaters and I for one am beyond excited. I loved the book and after finishing it was ecstatic they had picked David Fincher to direct, but even more so when Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross were again asked to team up and score the film. Since the free stream became available I have been listening pretty much nonstop. Like they did for The Social Network and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Reznor and Ross have created the perfect score for the story, especially for a story like Gone Girl. True, this is all based on the fact that I haven’t even seen the movie yet, I’ve only read the book. I just firmly believe that what I’m visualizing in my head is what I’ll see on Friday, but only time will tell. Whether you’ve enjoyed the other soundtracks mentioned or are a fan of Trent Reznor/NIN you will definitely enjoy this record. If you haven’t done so yet you can still the album for free here and if you wish to purchase it can do so here.
That’ll do it for this week. As always any comments, questions, or concerns can be left below. You can always follow me on twitter @jekupka and until next week I leave you with this…
It was as close as you could make it but, in the end, Daddy overcame Son in an epic battle of Grimes. Rick has claimed the top prize in The Walking Dead Deathmatch by a single vote over Carl. Even after Carl saved his ass on last night’s episode. Weak sauce. Somewhere, Michonne and Daryl are getting drunk and laughing at all this nonsense. Naked. It’s wierd.
Thanks for playing along. Stay tuned for our Christmas Deathmatch coming soon. Gizmo FTW!
I don’t know what happened along the way but this was definitely not the final match I was expecting. I would have bet Moreno’s left nut that Michonne and Daryl would be here for the ultimate survivalist battle. Neither made it. Instead we have an all Grimes championship. Father vs. son. Only one can wear the hat, ladies and gentlemen, choose wisely. Voting ends this Friday at midnight.
I don’t know how Carl made it this far but he sure as hell has his hands full now. Hopefully he can find that box full of machine guns again before this gets out of control. Voting ends this Friday at midnight.
This is as epic as we’ve had it during any of our Deathmatches the last few months. Rick and Michonne are sure to have tons of support from their respective loyal fans. I know who I want to win. Do you? Voting ends this Friday at midnight.
I did not see that Carl upset over The Governor coming. Kudos to all our voters. There’s a lot of fan loyalty split up among the final four participants. It’s going to be pretty interesting to see how it all plays out. Matches will be up on Tuesday and Monday. Voting will end for both on Friday, at midnight. Fucking Carl? Wow.
