47 Meters Down

While vacationing in Mexico, two sisters get trapped in a shark cage at the bottom of the ocean.  With only an hour worth of oxygen left, these sisters must fight to survive.  Starring in this shark attack flick are Mandy Moore, Clair Holt, Matthew Modine and more.  Johannes Roberts is the writer and director of this thriller.  Roberts is signed on to direct The Strangers 2 for 2018.  If you love shark movies like Law, then go check this out.

All Eyez on Me

This biographical drama tells the story of the famous rapper, Tupac Shakur.  Tupac is played by Demetrius Shipp Jr., while the other cast includes Danai Gurira (The Walking Dead), Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries), Annie Ilonzeh (Empire), and Jamal Woolard, who played Biggie Smalls in Notorious.  Benny Boom who has directed several music videos and TV episodes, directs this film.  Go set your eyez on this film this weekend.

Cars 3

Cars 3.  Moving on.  Lending their voices for part 3 are Owen Wilson, Chris Cooper, Nathan Fillion, Larry the Cable Guy, Armie Hammer, Tony Shalhoud, Bonnie Hunt, and more.  Brian Fee is behind the wheel as co-writer and director.  This is Fee’s first time writing and directing, however, has been a storyboard artist for Cars, Ratatouille, WALL-E, and Cars 2.  Now, get in your car and see Cars 3 this weekend.

Rough Night

During a wild bachelorette party, five female friends accidentally kill a male stripper.  Sounds like a female remake (or a femake) of Very Bad Things.  Starring in this female led cast are Scarlett Johansson, Zoë Kravitz, Kate McKinnon, Demi Moore, Jillian Bell, Ty Burrell, Illana Glazer, and more.  Lucia Aniello co-writes and directs this feature.  Aniello has written and directed episodes for Broad City and she is also signed on to co- write a 21 Jump Street Spin-off.  Having a rough night?  Then go see Rough Night tonight.
