The band is back together on an all new Binge GameCast. Freak joins in with Batch and Supka to dish on some of the latest shit they’ve been playing. We recorded live while Twitch streaming Dark Souls III, also known as SUN PRAISE SIM 2016. Batch raves about all 196 hours he’s played in Marvel Heroes. Supka does his best job convincing us all to play Quantum Break as soon as possible. Freak talks about a whole lot of Dark Souls III, but also The Division’s new Incursion mode and some of the complaints he’s had with that. Sound good? Download it now, cocksuckers.
What happens when you get four drunk Bingers (Bingers?), three of them are Supka’d, one of them is ACTUALLY Supka and throw on Empire Strikes Back? Another BingeCast commentary of course!
In this installment, the boys try to figure out what Cloud City actually is, why Lando is smooth, if Luke actually sped up Yoda’s dying process and more.
After this, the prequel commentaries are over. Let that sink in for a bit.
They are sent out in style though, as Garrett, Kupka, Batch, and Moreno sit down to give a commentary for the Hayden Christensen Oscar reel known as Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. Some of the things discussed in this two plus hour bit of internet madness include:
What is a ‘high bar, low bar, high bar?’
What asshole let Obi Wan’s Boga sound like a dog’s squeaky toy?
Ooohhh, that ‘subtle’ symbolism Lucas attaches to Anakin turning to the dark side is AMAZING.
How’s Star Wars like Marvel?
How’d Lucas try to ‘inject’ Peter Cushing?
Mace Windu’s Dark Side.
Is Garrett a woman hater for hating Natalie Portman?
So HOW exactly did Padme hide the fact she was pregnant from the Jedi?
What’s a ‘face actor?’
Why are the Jedi ‘Skyping’ into their own council meetings?
What is Garrett smoking to see similarities between this movie and Rosemary’s Baby?
Jedi Sportscenter (trust us, it makes sense).
Lightsaber Dildos.
Grab your favorite alcoholic beverage, put on your best Vader brooding face, and watch with us the last Star Wars film to hit upon the masses until…well, you know.
One of the busiest weeks in Binge Media history continues with the premiere of the all-new Binge Sportscast. Join our resident sports guy, Luke Norris, as he unveils the plan (sort of) for this show, what it’s going to be, where it’s going to go. Here’s a hint: he really has no fucking clue, but he’s having fun with it anyway.
He brings in Kupka for this first episode and they talk a little NCAA Tournament and Luke scares off potential listeners on the East Coast with his disdain for all things Duke.
They jump into a little golf talk as they discuss the record-breaking performance by Jordan Spieth at The Masters. Naturally (and seemingly by law), there’s a little Tiger talk, Kupka talks fashion and Rickie Fowler, and hear why Luke wants to slap Phil Mickelson.
From there, the bulk of the show hits as they dive into the Stanley Cup Playoffs, series by series. Just remember that this was recorded on Monday night, so if you’re pissed that they’re a game behind, then just get over it. The fan voting results for Round 1 are revealed and so much more. Enjoy.
Stay tuned to Binge Media as the monthly wrestling episode of the Binge Sportscast with Luke and Batch comes your way this weekend. They’ll be reviewing Wrestlemania and getting ready for the Extreme Rules PPV on Sunday night. Until then, come back for the daily columns and everything else we might add to the week. And don’t forget to follow @BingeSports, @THElukenorris, and @jekupka on Twitter. Seriously, just do it.
Grab your favorite frosty beverage, the Binge Movie Aftertaste podcast is back! The return of Binge Movie Aftertaste is marked by me being joined for the first time by the one and only Jim Kupka for an epic night of drinking and talking about film. Before calling our guest, Kupka and I spend some time talking about how our week has been, with me mentioning what it was like watching each Fast & Furious movie for the very first time this week. Not a moment too soon, we get Jack Marchetti, the writer/director of the Tribeca Film Festival selection The Evolution of a Gen-X Music Purchaser on the line, and then we are off and running.
Making a film which is about and revolves around music from artists ranging from Weezer to Slayer means you have to get rights. So we spend a little time talking about the trouble that comes with gathering said music rights, and Marchetti tells us how some of these rights were easier to get than others. We then talk a little about how contracting a degenerative eye disease caused Marchetti to push himself to move from just a writer into also directing his projects.
We steer into a conversation about what went into Marchetti submitting his short film to the Tribeca Film Festival, and how many festivals have been calling him since the film was accepted. All of this plus what Marchetti’s future in film holds, me flubbing the title of the film at least twice, and a game of King Of Hollywood can all be heard in this week’s epic movie making podcast.
The Evolution of a Gen-X Music Purchaser screens for the first time at Tribeca on April 16th. Check out the film’s official Facebook page, and keep an eye out for updates on its still rising wave of success.
Special thanks to both Kupka and Marchetti for a fun and interesting podcast.
