Batch and Logan James are back to drop some geeky goodness into your ear holes. Batch talks about The Flash, the new Doctor Who, then the boys discuss Netflix axing both Luke Cage and Iron Fist. James Gunn is supposedly going to be directing Suicide Squad 2 which both think is a great fucking idea. Batch fifes over Lego DC Super Villains, and much to Logan’s pleasure (don’t read too much into that), the show wraps up with a ton of Spidey talk, including the new video game DLC, Spider-Geddon, and Chip Zdarsky’s last of issue Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man. That’s it. Enjoy, you true fucking believers.
We didn’t watch much last week but that doesn’t mean we have nothing to talk about. Ammon visits Hollywood, Law and Moreno discuss the possibility of becoming gamers in the future, and Jack Valley calls in while Google Voice thinks he’s racist as shit.
We get listener reviews of THE FATE OF THE FURIOUS, TRAINSPOTTING 2, and SANDY WEXLER. We all watch Better Call Saul, while Moreno tries to finish Iron Fist and Ammon discovers that America’s Funniest Home Videos is still on.
Law checks out DISGRACED and Ammon gets in half of FASTER.
0:00:00-You know what time it is.
0:01:48-Bingecast. Law. Alyx….or Moreno. This name thing is getting stupid. Ammon is late. Big surprise. Ammon talking to himself via sounders should be a thing. Smooth shows? Nah. Last week proved that’s not fucking happening anymore. Movie Homework…sort of. The rest of the Indy retrospective is coming at your face soon. Gross. Better Call Saul commentaries are back. Fargo commentaries will return. Leftover commentaries….maybe? Butt stuff. Video game stuff.
0:26:31-GOGGLE VOICE.
0:55:51-TRAILER ROUND UP: The Last Jedi and Thor: Ragnarok. Moreno talks about the Alien Aftertaste.
1:04:10-GOOGLE VOICE CONTINUED
1:27:42-Ammon’s Hollywood Adventure
1:54:51-TV ROUND UP. Better call Saul. Moreno gives his thoughts on Iron Fist. Who is the Aquaman of a (given) franchise? Veep and The Leftovers are back. Fargo is returning soon.
2:16:00-MOVIE HOMEWORK: Faster
2:19:00-WHAT DID YOU WATCH? Law checked out Disgraced.
Want a bunch of new sounders, drops, and drunk segments? I’m pretty sure we do all of this at some point. We also review a bunch of movies, TV, and hand in our Movie Homework on time. Timestamp guy has all the details below. Timestamp guy also gets blasted for a good half hour during the show. Timestamp guy is the best.
0:01:27-Sup. New sounder by PeteMC!
0:01:27-Law, MorenoAlyx, and PeteMC are in the hizzy. Gross, I just typed hizzy. Is the name “Moreno” on the way out? Are you #TeamAlyx or #TeamMoreno? That’s a better fucking fight than that Captain America movie. What is everyone drinkin? Ammon? Probably? I don’t know. Maybe? I don’t know. Fuck you. Drunk Segments. Another sounder to be played later. Look at all this new shit!
0:08:36-DRUNK SEGMENT NUMERO UNO
0:16:19-TV ROUND UP. Moreno/Alyx up the first season of Legion. Check out the recent Small Screen Heroes for more discussion on Legion. Law is not itchin’ to watch Iron Fist. Podcast Round Up Sounder! Fast and Furious. STAY THE FUCKING COURSE. Moreno is catching up on Cheers and Rick and Morty. Law gives his thoughts on Big Little Lies, which concluded. PeteMC is grilled about how he asked Ammon what the ending was. Law talks Brockmire, and to a further extent, Hank Azaria and Amanda Peet. Better Call Saul is back this week. Season 2 is highlighted a bit. Fargo. Get Down Season 2 is up and running, bitches. Santa Clarita Diet, Training Day, Veep, Silicon (Smash?) Valley, Crashing, Girls.
1:01:37-Patreon Update
1:03:11-GC sounder. More drops. Temple of Doom Aftertaste gets mentioned.
1:14:05-WHAT DID YOU WATCH? PeteMC’s first ever sounder from the old show is played. Old shows are revisited. After what is probably six hours of bullshit (not exaggerating. But maybe I am), the segment begins with Pete who saw It for the first time. (It spoilers, btw). Face Swap round up. ANYWAY. Ok, so Pete also watched Desierto, Aftermath, Split, Louis C.K. Stand up. Tangents like a motherfucker. Back to Louis C.K., which was viewed across the board. AMMON. Alyx talks second Chappelle special, and Kong: Skull Island. Ammon checked out Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Law watched The Discovery. How much do you rely on movie reviews? Do you even give a shit?
BingeCast is back with a brand new beat. So gross. This will forever be know as the show where three of the four hosts fall asleep at some point during the show. The other one is a late assholio. Drop knowledge, Timestamp Guy!
0:00:00 – Hi.
0:02:05 – Little Bostonpalooza reunion over here. Moreno, Valley and Law are at the ready. Ammon is fucking MIA. Recap of last weekend’s Beantown insanity will be out for Patreon subscribers, yo. Temple of Doom Aftertaste on the way. Hold onto your potatoes! Gross. Alien stuff. BMFML. Stuff on the site. Chad C! Ammon has come. Ew.
1:26:26 – PODCAST ROUND UP: S-Town. Jack then talks about Escape Rooms. Cool.
1:52:26 – TV ROUND UP. Rapid reviews! In this edition, Ammon gives his thoughts on Iron Fist, Legion, and 24: Legacy. Moreno has got Legion as well, Dave Chappelle, and Bill Burr. Law talks about Crashing.
2:04:41 – WHAT DID YOU WATCH? Rapid Reviews continue. Valley revisited Aliens, Law saw The Bye Bye Man, and Live by Night. Moreno takes the mic with Split (which Ammon also gives his two cents on as well),
Sweet Christmas!! It’s time to finally talk all things Luke Cage on this week’s episode of Small Screen Heroes.
I’m joined this week by the one and only Johnny Moreno and we bring the love big time for Marvel’s Netflix show. From the killer soundtrack to the musical performances, character arcs and easter eggs, we cover it all. As always this is a spoiler podcast so go watch the show if you haven’t already,
I also drop mad Batch Bombs on Moreno in terms of character history, and origins, what the show got right, what it didn’t, and where the whole netflix marvel verse is going in terms of Iron Fist and Defenders.
So throw on your hoodie, pop in your earbuds and listen to the illest mother fucking comic book podcast on Binge Media.
