It’s the start of a new era for Binge Media as we welcome the great Garrett Collins to the site. He talks about his exit from Adventure Amigos and discusses what he’ll be doing with his new gig. To kick things off the right way he reviews INTERSTELLAR and LAGGIES right off the hop and Moreno and Law put him through an initiation Google Voice game where we get listener reviews for BIRDMAN and NIGHTCRAWLER.

Ammon tags in for the second half of the show so we can do some TV Round Up and get to the finer details of Sons of Anarchy, The Walking Dead, Boardwalk Empire’s series finale, and American Horror Story. What Did You Watch features the end of Law’s 101 Damnations and he gives up his Top 5 and his Worst 5 of the marathon. Moreno checks out CHEAP THRILLS, Ammon watches THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN, and everybody gets creeped out by the kid in THE BABADOOK.

Well that’s it folks.  The final episode of Boardwalk Empire premiered on Sunday, and Jack and I are feeling a bit torn about the show as a whole.  In this commentary, we discuss what really worked on the show, what it lacked and how it could’ve been better.  By the end of it, we feel that it was a solid show that HBO could be proud of, but definitely not one of its higher caliber offerings.  Thanks to everyone who listened to these commentaries.

Law, Ammon, and Moreno kick off Halloween week with a riveting game of Pixar or Porn right off the hop. From there it’s on to TV Round Up and lots of talk about The Walking Dead, Boardwalk Empire, Homeland, Sons of Anarchy, Peaky Blinders, and American Horror Story. Then the Google Voice Game messes with our reality and delivers listener reviews of BIRDMAN and others.

When the smoke clears it’s time to play Marry, Fuck, Kill with the lovely ladies of horror. Each of us picks one woman for each of those titles and things get out of control quickly.

Remember how Boardwalk is all like, “yo, Ima kill this guy and that guy and that guy” and it doesn’t mean dick?  MovieFreak and I discuss how this huge confrontation is lacking a lot of sense and reason.  While we did get one of the best songs ever written in this episode (see below), it all feels too little too late.  And with how this episode ends, we’re pretty disappointed in Nucky’s overall story arc.

With two major characters being off’d this episode, it’d be easy to say that this was the best episode of the season.  On the contrary, MovieFreak and I discuss how we didn’t feel either death was earned, and try to devise a scenario where it would work.  Will the final two episodes explode in a fury of violence as the ending suggests?  We don’t think so.

You could’ve easily played the Benny Hill theme in the background throughout this entire episode and it would fit perfectly.  Another stellar week with stellar performances including young Nucky.  The actor got down Buscemi to a tee, from the mannerisms and facial tics to his speech pattern and fucking teeth.  Things are heating up as we only have three more episodes left.

Ay yo, how about that epic Al Capone shit?

It’s a great week for movies as the boys get to review a bunch of awesomeness on the newest Cast of Binge. First, though, it’s the Google Voice game where Law gets put to the test once again by Moreno and fails miserably. We also have a new and improved installment of Pixar or Porn where Ammon finds himself in a much tougher situation than last week.

TV Round-Up has all the dirty dirt on Ray Donovan, The Strain, Sons of Anarchy, and Boardwalk Empire. What Did You Watch delivers a summary of our thoughts on GONE GIRL (Listen later this week for a new episode of Movie Homework dedicated to the film for our full reviews), and complete and thorough thoughts on HORNS and AMERICAN MUSCLE.
