Welcome to the latest edition of the Binge SportsCast. It’s WWE pay-per-view weekend so you know what that means. Batch and I are back to talk WWE Fastlane and everything else happening in the wrestling world. From Daniel Bryan to Titus O’ Neil to the card itself and everything in between, we hit the road to WrestleMania hard and we hit it fast (see what I did there). Enjoy.
Welcome to the Super Bowl edition of the Binge SportsCast. Join me, Luke Norris, as I open the show with the greatest rap song ever created by a team that won a Super Bowl thirty years ago. Speaking of which, I may or may not get a little upset in the opening segment as I reminisce on games of yesteryear. Not to worry….a little Whitney Houston would calm you down as well. Wait, what? Oh, you know you’re going to listen now.
I compose myself to welcome my Binge Media nemesis, Episode IV, to the show for the first time in a long time and we put aside our differences to talk Peyton Manning, Cam Newton, our mutual hatred for Eli and everything else leading up to Super Bowl 50. Enjoy.
I do apologize for not getting this up earlier today, but there have been some crazy technical difficulties going on at the Binge Sports Studios today, but what are you gonna do, amirite? Nevertheless, the first 2016 wrestling edition of the Binge SportsCast has arrived. Batch and I are back to discuss everything surrounding Sunday’s WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view and that includes our predictions, how the new signings may affect the match and so much more. But enough talk………just listen. Enjoy.
Welcome back to Binge Sports and welcome to the long-awaited 2016 debut of the Binge SportsCast.
In this first episode of the year, I start things off going solo with a look back at 2015, but move forward quickly as I give you 15 stories to look out for in 2016.
The energy certainly picks up in the second hour of the show when I’m joined by Garrett Collins to discuss some of these stories, but also to discuss a new segment idea as well. I may or may not piss off an entire state as we talk and may or may not have some choice words for a few of my colleagues as well. And we can’t stop talking about Creed after Sly’s big win at the Golden Globes this past Sunday.
It’s a special two-hour edition of the Binge SportsCast as we break into the new year. Enjoy.
I almost feel bad….almost. The inaugural Binge Sports Pick ‘Em Contest has come to a close and after 17 grueling weeks, we have a winner. Drumroll please…..and the winner is…..me. I honestly do feel bad for Art. He’s led this thing for a few weeks now with some great picks, but just had a disastrous final week. But hey, coffee’s for closers. Seriously though, it actually did come down to the final game of the season to decide the overall winner. The Packers-Vikings game was the 16-point game this week and I took Minnesota because I knew it was the only way I could win and they came through with a big victory on Sunday Night Football. Had Green Bay won, Art would have won by 18 points. Rounding out the podium is Ed Minkowski, who led the overall standings for a number of weeks this season. Thanks for playing along, Ed.
As I suspected, a lot of people didn’t show up for Week 17, but let’s take a look at what happened in the final week and the final standings as well.

I’d like to thank all of you that took time out to play in this first year of the Binge Sports Pick ‘Em Contest. I’m sure this will be back next season. I’d also like to hear from those of you that participated. Did you enjoy doing this? Is there something you’d like to see added…perhaps some kind of bonus for playing every week or something like that? Feel free to leave your comments below and you can always hit me up with questions or get the latest updates on Twitter @BingeSports and @THElukenorris. Congratulations once again to…..well, me.
Welcome back to Binge Sports and welcome to the 17th and final week of the inaugural Binge Sports Pick ‘Em Contest. As I figured might happen, a few of our participants either forgot to play or took the week off for the holiday, but the contest rolls on and Art remains at the top with another big scoring week. I moved into second after a rare off-week for Ed and it will be very tough for anybody to catch Art, who takes a 50-point lead into Week 17. The games could get tricky this week if some teams decide to rest starters but we’ll see how everything plays out.

Welcome back to Binge Sports and welcome to Week 16 of the Binge Sports Pick ‘Em Contest. It was a good week for a few of us here and a bad week for others. I picked 14 of the 16 games correctly and still couldn’t win the week as Ed took Week 15 with 88 points, the highest point total of the season thus far. Art still has the overall lead but his lead has diminished heading into Week 16. Let’s take a look at how things played out and look ahead to the games for the week.

Welcome back to Binge Sports and welcome to a preview of Binge Bowl I. Not only are the teams set for the final game of the inaugural season of the Binge Fantasy Football League, but this first championship game is a true Binge Bowl as myself and Jack are the two participants. We played in Week 1 and Week 12 with Jack winning both. I have three losses on the year and he gave me two of them. We’ve done shows together and I just got his Christmas card in the mail and I want to fucking destroy him….can’t write shit like this.
In the semifinal matchups, I was able to get by Chad F.’s Chi-Town Smackdowns behind a balanced attack from my lineup. The key for me this week was getting 21.00 points from the Kansas City defense as opposed to Chad getting none from the Carolina defense. That’s why I’m in the title game. Chad had a great season, coming in fourth in the regular season with a 9-4 record and a playoff win last week.
On the other side of the bracket, Jack gave Murph a beating that nobody saw coming. Murphys Law led the league in points this season but was annihilated this week as 12.5 or Die got 20 or more points from four different guys, including 40.90 from David Johnson. The team’s 165.08 point total was Jack’s highest of the year and the second-highest in the entire league this year, runner-up only to the 175.74 total in Week 3 from…..my Italian Stallions. Let’s take a quick look at the scores from the semifinals and get a detailed look at the tale of the tape for Binge Bowl I.

Welcome back to Binge Sports and welcome to Week 15 of the Binge Sports Pick ‘Em Contest. Well, it was another dismal week for most in the contest. Anthony D. led the way this week with 38 points and Jack had 36 to go along with his upset win in the BFFL, and he climbs into fourth in the overall standings. Art still leads the way and widened that lead this week as I had a horrible week and Ed had 68 points in the positive and 68 points in the negative to stay right where he was last week. We’ve got three weeks to go. It’s make or break time. Let’s see where we’re at and get to the Week 15 matchups.
