Binge Sports: Binge Fantasy Football League Playoffs-Quarterfinals

The regular season of the inaugural Binge Fantasy Football League has come to a close and what a jacked up week it was. We start with a blowout win in the 1 vs 12 matchup that took place, but the winner wasn’t who I was hoping for. I’ll give credit where credit is due as Denny Luis beat the hell out of my Italian Stallions, 97.04-70.28. It doesn’t keep me from having the top seed in the playoffs, but a two-game losing streak isn’t quite what I was hoping for going into the postseason. Oh Hai, bitch! But I hear there’s a Christmas card headed my way, so I can’t be overly upset, and Denny avoids the cellar with the win, a place reserved for Chad D.’s Deflated Balls, who took yet another beating. His 136.78-67.70 loss to Touchdown There was like an Old Yeller finish to a horrible season. Hey boys, remember when he was talking so much shit during the draft? With the win, Tim moved into the third position for the playoffs.

In other games this past week, Murphys Law locked up the second seed with a close win against The Jaws of Geno, 115.24-111.08, which puts Nick into the eighth spot heading into the playoffs and a matchup with me in the quarterfinals. Given his point total this week and how my team has been playing, I’m honestly not feeling great about it. Had Nick won this matchup, he would have been moved up to the seventh position, which will be held by Wayne’s Awesome Team, who took a beating from Garrett’s G Force. Wayne, I got nothing but love for you brother, but I was rooting to play you this week, mainly because I think I had a better chance to win. But you’ve got bigger fish to fry with playing Murph in the quarterfinals.

In the fourth spot will be the Chi-Town Smackdowns. At least one Chad could make the playoffs. Okay, that’s the last crack I’ll make about Chad D., but Chad F. is gearing up for the quarterfinals after beating Art’s Vatos Locos. Chad was actually in the third spot when the week started, but slipped to fourth even with scoring 114.36 points. It’s just that Touchdown There scored so many that he overtook Chad in total points, beating him by a total of 12.74 points over a 13-week period. Good stuff. And don’t worry about Art…he’s leading the field in the Pick ‘Em Contest. Rounding out the playoff field are Daniel’s Bigfoot in Sandals and Jack’s 12.5 or Die in the 5th and 6th spots, respectively. Jack got the win this week in their matchup, but just didn’t win by enough, finishing with the same record as Daniel, but fell 15.24 points short in the standings.
