(Working On A Title) Wednesday – 07/29/15 – Spotify Discover Weekly, Dorothy, Favorite LOUD Movie Moments, Windows 10
Welcome to another fun filled edition of (Working On A Title) Wednesday. This week we’re gonna talk…
Arkham Knight
I left this out of the title on purpose! I KNOW, you’re sick of hearing us talk about this shit already, well I had one closing thought. I have finished the game, and then I really finished it, now I have the chance to really, really, for real this time the princess is not in another castle finish it. If I spend another who knows how many hours finding over 200 Riddler items. Right now, ain’t nobody got time for that. What are your thoughts about games that require you to complete EVERYTHING for the final/real ending? Do you care? Is it bullshit? Do you think it’s forced? e-mail the Binge GameCast and let us know!
Spotify Discover Weekly/Dorothy
If you didn’t already know, we here at Bingemedia love us some Spotify, last week I got an e-mail from Spotify informing me about a new feature called Discover Weekly and so far I am very much liking it. Discover Weekly is a 30 track playlist that Spotify provides to you every Monday morning. Unfortunately I did not get time to listen to the first week and I forgot to just save them all until it was too late (you MUST save your favorites to a playlist) as this week’s selection replaced last week’s.
I was able to give this week’s playlist a listen and on the initial go through saved 11 of 30 tracks. Not too bad if you ask me. Not that the other songs were horrible either, just didn’t real feel them. One of the artists that really caught my ear was a band named Dorothy. A foursome of a rock band led by vocalist Dorothy Martin and backed by guitarist Mark Johnson, bassist Gregg Cash, and drummer Zac Morris (If only it were THE Zack Morris…) Raspy, Dirty, Bluesy, Guitary (fuck you it is a word), everything a rock band should be. I strongly suggest checking these folks out. They released a self-titled E.P. in 2014 that is currently on repeat in my ear holes.
Favorite Loud Movie Moments
With the wife out of town this weekend I had full run of the house, most importantly, the volume on the T.V. So I decided it was time to make a little revisit to an oldie but goodie, The Matrix. I kept the movie at a reasonable level for most of it but then one of my Top 5 Loud Movie Scene kicked in, and things got a little, well, LOUD. You know what I’m talking about, those scenes where you grab that remote and turn it up 1, 2, 6 notches on the dial, sit back and enjoy. Enjoy the pure mayhem, carnage, and badassery (that’s a word) as it unfolds in front of you. The Lobby Scene from The Matrix, The Club Scene from Blade, The Church Scene from Kingsman. These are only a few of many cinematic masterpiece moments and in case you forgot about them they are below for your pleasure. What are some of your favorites?
and before you watch the Kingsman scene, if you haven’t watched this flick yet, just fucking do it already. It’s fucking awesome.
Windows 10
Last but not least today marks the release of Windows 10. Technically the 9th iteration but who’s counting. My guess is they just needed to seem on the same level as Apple and OSX. X is the same as 10 for those of you that are challenged in the area of the Roman Numeral. Early reviews have it being the best Windows yet, we shall see. As with everything since Windows ME I have been (Rule #1 – Don’t be) a day one adopter of next gen Windows and this will be no exception. This will however, be the first time I do not perform a clean install. I KNOW! Rule #2 – Always perform a clean install. I just don’t have time for it, with all the shit I have currently installed and PERFECTLY configured I don’t wanna fuck that up or deal with the hassle. Well then why upgrade? Because I’m a glutton for punishment and I know someone in the VERY near future will be calling me for assistance with their new Windows and therefore I should know how it works. Besides I have everything saved on drives other than my OS HDD, I’m not THAT dumb. The biggest thing I am looking forward to is testing the integration with the Xbox One, good things were promised, we shall see. I’ll have more on next week’s Binge GameCast as it will definitely play a role on how much gaming I get done this week.
That’ll do it for this week. Before I go I just want to give my sincere thanks to all you fans who come day in and day out to listen and read the shit that we have to spew out on the world wide web and even moreso for all the recent support. You guys really have no idea what it means to each and every member of this staff. You guys are the fucking best and I owe each and every one of you a beer. Maybe not at the same time though, that could get pricey. As always, don’t forget to leave any comments below and follow me on Twitter @jekupka. Until next time, I leave you with this.

Awesome column Supka.
I LOVE Discover Weekly, and after a rewatch of The Matrix the other day, I realized how much I forgot how much that Lobby Scene just kicks all kinds of ass. Kind of a show off scene, but within the context of the film, it works.
