Binge Movie Aftertaste w/ Teddy Gyi
Just in time for its name change, Binge’s Movie Aftertaste Podcast turns in an episode that is all at once informative, interesting, and drunkenly stupid.
Things start off well enough as Moreno, Garrett, and Jason welcome Northern California music video/film director Teddy Gyi to the show. They cover everything from how directing his own music videos prepared Teddy for the challenges that come with feature films to how he went about directing his first feature film Refuge, with Binge’s own Garrett Collins serving as producer. We then talk about how showing underdog film directing legend John G Avildsen (Rocky, The Karate Kid) the film gave Teddy the push and confidence needed to finish the over two year production.
Jason does his own bit of promotion, as we bring up Story of Eva, the film he is finishing now. After explaining its intriguing concept –and Garrett forgets the context of the word ‘topical’- Jason shares some fascinating behind the scenes stories involving established, busy actor Eric Roberts. The very soon to be shooting Through The Night sizzle reel is also discussed, and Jason reveals that doing Through The Night has given him a strange fascination with Newcastle Wolf Ale.
From there, the show moves at a deteriorating drunken pace, as somehow topics such as the Terminator: Genisys trailer, sweat stains, and porn all come up at one point or another, sometimes more than once. The show is capped off with Teddy’s idea for King of Hollywood, of which, if any listeners could decipher, would be greatly appreciated.
Story of Eva will be released on January 13th, and stay tuned for when you can see Refuge. For now, please check out its trailer below and Like the film’s Facebook page for updates.

Wonder if the extra in “Teen Wolf” that pulled his dick out on the bleachers ever made it to the big leagues?
