(Working on a Title) Wednesday – 10/22/14 – Trailers, Trailers, Trailers
I realized today that I haven’t seen a new movie trailer in a couple of weeks. Now, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but I did find it odd. So I began to think, what was the last movie I saw in the theater? Was it really Gone Girl? That was almost 3 weeks ago. What’s coming out this week? I have no fucking idea. Well, Birdman, but I don’t know if I want to pay $30 to go see it. When’s the next big film out? Wait, what is the next big film? Wow, I’m really out of the loop, my lack of movie going, due to lackluster options, has lead to me missing out, or forgetting about what’s coming out and when. Since this is a problem that MUST be remedied I headed to the only place one goes when seeking movie trailers. Google. I found a nice list of trailers for films coming out these last 10 (I KNOW RIGHT) weeks of the year and in turn I WAS going to give you my 5 most anticipated films for the remainder of the year. HOWEVER, there were a lot of fucking trailers and I got bored about 3 weeks in. Here are some of the highlights of the next month or so that I am looking forward to. Enjoy.
John Wick
A film that is being touted as Reeves’ best movie since The Matrix, the trailer to me feels like it’s going to be an over the top action flick that isn’t going to take itself too seriously. When you add the likes of Willem Dafoe, Ian McShane, and John Leguizamo you can consider me there. Which I will be, this weekend, John Wick opens Friday.
Nightcrawler
Jake Gyllenhaal seems to be giving his best Christian Bale in this thriller, the directorial debut from Dan Gilroy, as a stop at nothing freelance news reporter. I think the story seems interesting I just can’t stop picturing Bale, it may actually be too distracting to enjoy the film. We shall see. What do you think?
The Theory of Everything
If you don’t have hope for all of mankind after this trailer I don’t think you have a soul. The biopic of Stephen Hawking, it could very well be a front runner to take home many a golden statue. We shall see. You decide for yourself.
That’ll do it for this week. As always any comments, questions, or concerns can be left below. You can always follow me on twitter @jekupka and until next week I leave you with this…
HA! You get nothing extra this week.

Until Bill and Ted 3 is ready, no Keanu for me, but I’m with you on the other two. And yes, when I first saw the Hawking trailer before Gone Girl, I got goosebumps. Hopefully, they don’t screw it up
