(Working on a Title) Wednesday – Fantasy Hockey League Draft Results, The Walking Dead(#131), Gone Girl Soundtrack
Happy October, or Shocktober, or Rocktober, or whatever other clever …tober name you have come up with. With October comes Halloween and with Halloween comes horror movies, and if you’re one of those who likes to do the 31 in 31, you’re a pussy. Our man Jim Law is doing it the Binge Media way, he’s going for 101 in 31 days. SO TAKE THAT!! You can read all about it here. Alright, enough about that guy, it’s Wednesday and it’s my day, so let’s talk some more…
BingeMedia.net Hates Canada

The Walking Dead (#131)
Now as some of you already know I am beyond done with The Walking Dead television show, and at this point I’m done with the comics. At least in a month by month fashion. After the All Out War story line which gave us a years worth of issues in just 7 months it’s been hard to read the series on it’s normal schedule and stay entertained. I started off reading the series in it’s Trade format (after starting with The Compendium) and is, in my opinion, a much better way to do so. In case you are thinking about starting the series this is how I would recommend reading it.
So issue #131 was released a couple of weeks ago and really wasn’t great. We’re getting to see the results of winning the war but not enough of it, and the story line that is developing (Negan getting in the heads of new arrivals) just doesn’t seem all that new and exciting. I hope it’s just that I’ve been spoiled by being able to binge on the series for so long and not that the writing is turning to shit. Unfortunately I fear it’s the later. Well I’ll be back in 6 months when this arc’s trade is published.
Gone Girl Soundtrack
This Friday the new David Fincher starring Ben Affleck movie Gone Girl hits theaters and I for one am beyond excited. I loved the book and after finishing it was ecstatic they had picked David Fincher to direct, but even more so when Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross were again asked to team up and score the film. Since the free stream became available I have been listening pretty much nonstop. Like they did for The Social Network and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, Reznor and Ross have created the perfect score for the story, especially for a story like Gone Girl. True, this is all based on the fact that I haven’t even seen the movie yet, I’ve only read the book. I just firmly believe that what I’m visualizing in my head is what I’ll see on Friday, but only time will tell. Whether you’ve enjoyed the other soundtracks mentioned or are a fan of Trent Reznor/NIN you will definitely enjoy this record. If you haven’t done so yet you can still the album for free here and if you wish to purchase it can do so here.
That’ll do it for this week. As always any comments, questions, or concerns can be left below. You can always follow me on twitter @jekupka and until next week I leave you with this…
