Christmas Deathmatch – The Elite 8!

There were a few surprises in the first round of our Christmas Deathmatch.  I don’t think anyone doubted the fighting prowess of John McClane, who dismantled The Santa Clause with 97% of the vote.  Gizmo started off slow against The Grinch but came out on top late in the game to advance to the next round.  George Bailey just barely squeaked by Ralphie and Jack Skellington destroyed Winthorpe by walking away with more than half the votes.

On the other side, Kevin moved past Arnold by a 2 to 1 margin and Rudolph barely showed up for his fight against Riggs.  We expected a good fight from Willie and Buddy, and the Elf walked away with the “W” by one vote.  I honestly saw Cousin Eddy walking a way with his hand raised but Frank Cross put a hurtin’ on him to move to the next round.

The Elite 8 voting starts tomorrow and ends Friday at midnight!
