I know we say this every time, but it’s true. We had an absolute blast recording this here commentary for The Karate Kid. What starts out as an innocent re-visit with a classic 80s staple, quickly devolves into issues regarding, but not necessarily limited to:
- Daniel-san’s lack of a fucking belt
- Daniel-san’s lack of a fucking responsible mother (seriously, where the hell is she?)
- Why this movie and other 80s movies pit The Blondes vs Brunettes
- Reasons why Elisabeth Shue is so fucking wet for Daniel-san, despite his lack of a fucking belt, his penchant for getting his ass handed to him every day and his horrible poor kid wardrobe.
- How Mr. Miyagi didn’t know shit about karate, but had a lot of fucking chores that needed to get done

You over looked two things the first being that two of the cobra Kai look like they could have been doubles for Luke fuckin skywalker and then he didn’t have a belt the whole movie for the big moment when he gets the black belt. When he finally got his belt that’s when he became the karate kid

This was a GREAT commentary. Perfect balance of mockery and admiration for a quintessential 80,s classic. Lmao at how Mr. Miyagi earned his Brown Belt!
